Rumor Spesifikasi AMD Radeon “Tenerife” HD 8970 Venus XTX!
Beberapa hari yang lalu, kami telah mengabarkan mengenai berita rumor
dari spesifikasi HD 8800 yang terkuak. Generasi penerus dari Southern
Island (HD 7000 series) untuk varian HD 8800 ini dikabarkan akan menggunakan kode nama Oland Pro/XT
untuk GPU-nya, dan apabila rumor spesifikasi yang tersebar tersebut
terealisasi, maka graphics card terbaru AMD ini akan memiliki performa
yang sangat menjanjikan ditambah dengan harga jual yang terjangkau,
mengingat kelas ini bukanlah kelas flagship/high end yang akan dirilis AMD. Kali ini kami mendapatkan informasi lain yang menganalisa spesifikasi dari graphics card untuk kelas flagship/high end milik AMD yang diketahui akan menggunakan nama Radeon HD 8970 Venus XTX dengan kode GPU Tenerife “Sea Island”. Beberapa bulan yang lalu telah tersebar sebuah slide confidential (gambar diatas) dari AMD mengenai GPU Tenerife ini, dan PCPerspective membuat
analisa dari graphics card NextGen AMD ini berdasarkan informasi yang
memang sudah termasuk “outdated” tersebut. Dan kali ini sebuah website videovardz.com membuat
analisa yang lebih mendalam lagi dari spesifikasi HD 8970 ini yang
mereka klaim lebih akurat, mari kita lihat tabelnya berikut.
Videocardz.com membuat analisa (tabel merah) spesifikasi graphics card
HD 8970 ini berdasarkan spesifikasi lima generasi graphics card radeon
kelas high end sebelumnya. Ukuran Die Size GPU yang membesar menjadi 410 mm persegi untuk memuat 5,5 milyar transistor yang masih menggunakan fabrikasi 28nm, tambahan 512 shader stream processor, 16 ROP, dan 32 TMU dibandingkan HD 7970, dengan standar video ram yang kini meningkat menjadi 4GB.
Tentu saja informasi pada tabel diatas tersebut hanya sebatas analisa
saja, dan masih belum bisa dipastikan keakuratannya, untuk bisa membuat analisa sendiri untuk graphics card
NextGen AMD ini, kita nantikan kehadirannya!
